| This new war rug is in excellent condition. This is a Soviet Hand Rug with Najibullah (the puppet leader of Afghanistan in the early 90Æs). This is a fabulous war rug that has a map of Afghanistan with a hand reaching into the top with a soviet hammer and sickle, representing the communist puppet government. There is some text on this rug in Farsi naming the surrounding countries of Afghanistan. The images throughout are incredibly detailed, with sharp, colorful drawing of tanks, rocket launchers, hand guns, AK-74s, and helicopters, just to name a few. Another interesting point is its use of contemporary images with the traditional mixed in. |
