The condition of this new war rug is excellent. The military colors throughout is not very common, and the use of these colors makes the aircraft carrier especially nice with an almost camouflage appeal/reference on our jets. There is all natural un-dyed wool in the far right of the Afghani flag and this is wonderful tribal element appeals to many collectors. The Xs seen throughout the rug is a pattern that many weavers will use to fill in long stretches of boring weaving with only one color. This is not usually found in 9/11 war rugs because of its detailed images.
Wool: The wool is soft and fine. Sheen: The sheen is nice and glossy. Handle: The handle on this war rug is firm and rigid. Selvedge: The selvedge is of 2 cord black wool.
Fringe: The fringe on this war rug has no kilim end. Pile: Wool 6mm.Warp: White cotton.Weft: Black cotton.
Warp Depression:Full Depression
