This rug is in excellent new condition. This is the third piece of this pattern. The first one was shown at the US Textile Museum and sold, Warrug has kept one for exhibition, and this one.
Wool: Excellent best quality wool Sheen: Excellent from great wool combined with good wash Handle: Strong, sturdy handle. Selvedge: The selvedges in this group of drone rugs, from 2019, have a considerable problem which is reflected in the price. The selvedges of these rugs have been cut and sewn back on. Why anyone would do something so thoughtless confounds me. These are probably the best drone rugs to date, but they are also the least expensive.
Fringe: No kilim end, just Persian style closure Pile: Roughly 5mm deep pileWarp: Tan cottonWeft: White cotton
Warp Depression:The warps are fully depressed, which sometimes is called "double knotted".
