Condition: The condition of this new war rug is perfect.
Some of the finer points of this rug, besides its super quality wool, would be the rug's nice colors and its lovely Farsi text.
This is really an excellent example of this style of war rug. These rugs are about the Afghan uprising against the Soviet -Puppet Government in 1978-79.
Wool: The wool is of extremely good quality, very fine and soft.
Sheen: The sheen is simply excellent.
Handle: The handle of this war rug is remarkably supple and strong.
Selvedge: The selvedge is 2 cord brown wool overcast.
Fringe: The fringe on the war rug has 1.5 inch red and black stripe kilim, overhand knots, and 1 inch fringe.
Pile: Very good 6mm. Wool.
Warp: White cotton.
Weft: Brown wool.
Warp Depression: Consistent 60 degrees
