Fringe: Tightly woven kilim ends, both light orange colored with some irregularity in color. Kilim ends have corduroy texture from warp depression continuing -unusually- from pile. Twisted closure followed by overhand knots and most fringe bunched together. At the end of pile and beginning of kilim end is a double strand braided weft float. Fringe at top more orange than fringe at bottom. | Pile: 3mm | Warp: 2S wool with orange tinge, mostly twisted together grouped by overhand knot closures. This fringe is even finer - smaller gauge- than other Ali Kwaja rugs. All warps are the same color. | Weft: Double black throughout pile. Natural color wefts on both kilim ends, also tinged orange. |
