Condition: This seems like a beginner rug. Edges are irregular, and the back is uneven. Its lines are not smooth and composition and rendering are simple. Nonetheless, it has an informal punch. Imagery pops from very deep indigo field. Cars are nice.
Wool: Coarse and unevenly cut.
Sheen: Fair.
Handle: Floppy.
Selvedge: Uneven two cord goat hair or dark wool.
Fringe: Short kilim. Overhand knot on top but not bottom.
Pile: Wool.
Warp: Mixture of colored wool. Natural, dark and both.
Weft: Wool. One strand dark wool, one red.
