Condition: The condition of this new war rug is good. This is an Afghan war rug that was washed using a special technique in Pakistan before it was shipped to us. There is a little bleeding, which is commonly seen in this type of war rug, located in three of the corners around the dark blue bullets into the surrounding red.
This war rug has a very nice abrash and the drawings are excellent. The images depicted in this rug in particular are rarely used and make this war rug really stand out from the others. An example of these drawings are the hand gun, an AK-74 instead of the usual AK-47 seen, and the RPG with an extra rocket. These are wonderfully done and this war rug will only become more beautiful over time.
Wool: The wool is smooth and is a little sharp and dry from the special wash used.
Sheen: The sheen has a nice, slight luster and will only improve over time as it oxidizes.
Handle: The handle on this war rug is firm and slightly stiff.
Selvedge: The selvedge consists of 2 cord black wool.
Fringe: The fringe on this war rug has a 1/4 inch kilim with overhand knots.
Pile: Wool 4mm.
Warp: White cotton.
Weft: Black wool.
