Condition: The condition of this new war rug is good. The pile is thicker on one end than on the other, but not by look, only by examination by hand. The drawing is simple and the only literate text is USA. There are no people falling out of this one, and the drawing is not as graphic as most 9/11 war rugs. This would be a good rug for someone who likes the idea of the commemoration, but has a difficult time with some of the other war rugs. The symbolism of peace with the two flags and the white dove holding an olive branch is nice.
Wool: The wool is soft and fine.
Sheen: The sheen is nice and glossy.
Handle: The handle on this war rug is firm and rigid.
Selvedge: The selvedge is of 2 cord black wool.
Fringe: The fringe on this war rug has no kilim end.
Pile: Wool 6mm.
Warp: White cotton.
Weft: Black cotton.
