Dark Blue 2019 Reaper Drone War Rug |
Exhibited at: |

July 19, 2021 - This rug pulled from reserve stock which is held back for exhibition loans.
Great rug. Soft pile, which is thicker than most.
The knots in this rug appear to be "asymmetrical open right", which is very unusual, for 95% of the Afghan rugs seen by warrug.com "asymmetrical open left", so we will endeavor to figure out the reason. |

Wool: Excellent. Soft and dense. Spun by hand. | Sheen: Very good | Handle: Firm | Selvedge: Two cord flat dark blue. Like other rugs from the 2019 group, this rug's seslvedge appears to have been cut of and replaced by prefabricated selvedge. This is surprising and disappointing. Warrug.com's source described the selvedge replacement as a feature, but it seems like a bug. | Fringe: Short dark brown selvedge. | Pile: 6mm fine wool. | Warp: Beige cotton, curly. | Weft: Two cords white or buff cotton. | Warp Depression:The warp in this rug are fully depressed which is also called "double knotted". |
