Condition: The deep blue base of this rug is intertwined with beautiful dark brown figures of planes and cars. However, the contrast provided by the bright pink threading is the real standout aspect of the rug. The vibrance of the pink gives life to all the images contained within its boundaries in a way that is incredible and adds greatly to the overall quality of this piece.
This rug is densely knotted with small singles and clipped long, so it has a dense, soft feeling.
Wool: Fluffy, long fiber, soft wool

Handle: Strong end of floppy
Selvedge: Hard to determine if goat hair or wool, or perhaps some mix. Whatever the material, it is tightly bound and braided around a single cord.
Fringe: Sea purple very short kilim, overhand knots and two inch fringe of lightly dyed cerulean on tan wool
Pile: 7mm
Warp: 2S plied by 2S in S direction. Light brown, tan, wool that looks to have been lightly dyed with light cerulean.
Weft: Dark blue cotton.
