Condition: This new war rug is in excellent condition. This rug has some of the best quality wool seen in war rugs. It is extremely well-knotted with fabulous use of color giving this rug gorgeous luster rarely seen in new rugs. It is of late design in the stylization of the weapons. Please note the use of a harlequin pattern.
Wool: The best wool was used in the making of this war rug.
Sheen: The sheen is very fatty and lustrous.
Handle: The handle on this war rug is nicely floppy, strong, and quite resilient.
Selvedge: The selvedge is of corded black wool.
Fringe: The very shoot fringe on this war rug is of 1/2 cotton kilim with overhand knots.
Pile: 6mm wool, quite possibly completely spun by hand.
Warp: Beige cotton.
Weft: Black cotton.
