Condition: New condition. Full pile, still has fuzz from shearer's clippers. The lighter cobalt blue inside medallions contrasts beautifully with darker Prussian blue in rug's field.
Wool: Good wool.
Sheen: Shiny, good luster for young rug.
Handle: Floppy, but more strong than most.
Selvedge: Braided goat hair overcast, not quite full coverage, so grey cotton wefts exposed.
Fringe: Blue and burgundy plain weave, Persian closure, light brown fringe.
