A great example of the "Chobi" or "Natural Dye Peshawar" rug now woven in Afghanistan . Condition is perfect and new (see selvedge report). Excellently woven from great wool and well washed.
Wool: Excellent, really the best Sheen: Excellent. Great wool combined with good wash Handle: Strong and sturdy with a touch of softness probably from undyed wool Selvedge: The selvedges in this group of drone rugs, from 2019, have a considerable problem which is reflected in the price. The selvedges of these rugs have been cut and sewn back on. Why anyone would do something so thoughtless confounds me. These are probably the best drone rugs to date, but they are also the least expensive.

This problem is not noticed except under minute examination, nonetheless, whether buyer notices it or not it is noteworthy.
Fringe: No kilim just Persian style closure. Pile: Medium length pile, about 5mmWarp: Tan cottonWeft: White cotton.
Warp Depression:Full warp depress, also known as double knotted because a viewer only sees one node of knot on the back, rather than 2 nodes.
