| The condition of this war rug is new. Please also read the description for rug #153 for a lesson on just how special this war rug is since it uses the same Chechen style. This war rug has a very nice double map motif. The use of American weaponry, the M-16s rather than the AK-47s seen in the Soviet-era war rugs, and the wonderfully drawn border tanks makes this rug a fascinating find to the collector and non-collector alike. The drawing of the jets being the same as the drawing of the jets in the red rugs makes this war rug an interesting study. It suggests that the tribal, nomadic weavers are familiar with one another's patterns. |
