Condition: Perfect new condition. Unusual color.
Wool: The red color is dense and soft, and the white is smoother and more slippery
Sheen: Very good
Handle: Stiff, firm, strong.
Selvedge: Natural selvedge has been foolishly cut off and replaced with supplemental selvedge of near matching color to field.
Fringe:
End finish with three tiers of latticed warps which are stained with field color, suggesting the wool was overdyed, then washed hard. Typical for this type of rug.
Pile: 5mm Ghazni wool
Warp: White cotton
Weft: Two white cotton
