General Description: High quality rug from the early 1980s in excellent condition. The brown wool is undyed and of unusually dense character.
Description of wool: Dense and soft.
Sheen of Wool: Even sheen with a satin finish
Handle: Floppy but dense and substantial.
Selvedge: The top half of the rug has a navy blue goat hair braided selvedge while the bottom has a red selvedge. Selvedges on the fringe are black. High quality with some damage and unraveling.
Fringe: Unclosed ends, it looks like parts of the kilim ends were removed to match areas where wear had occurred.
Pile Material: 5mm
Weft Material: Short naturally colored wool
Warp Material: Grey double wefted cotton thread
