General Description: A high-quality blue, red, and orange prayer rug with white and red accents. A large blue shape in the center sports 5 rows of text, a tank, and what looks to be a large red anti-aircraft gun coming out the top. Knots create unique pockmarks throughout the rug.
Minarets, hand grenades, armored personnel carriers, helicopters, and other objects fill in the negative space around the center. Very similar in style and possibly woven by the same weavers as rugs 1382 and 900.
The center composition is bordered by two thin black guard stripes, which is then bordered by a main border consisting of a procession of maroon tanks on a red background.
For exhibition at Miami University, museum hired amish sewers to tack on canvas loops through which dowels could be inserted to hang rugs on wall.
Moth damage: Small less-than-a-dime sized line of moth damage on the right side of the rug.
