This rug is the last of the second batch of drone rugs which were received in 2015. It is new and in perfect condition. The materials and craftspersonship are excellent. It is well-knotted with super quality wool that has been carded and spun by hand which protects the natural lanolin in the wool. Lanolin gives shine and protects the wool. These rugs have also been washed and conditioned. The conditioning ads added luster and protection for the wool.
Wool: The brown in the planes, the red in the field, and the red in the border are all distinctly different wool. The red wool used in the border is spun into thicker threads and has slightly less luster on the back, but the wool has a fattier feel. The burgundy is the thinnest threads and the shiniest woo. Sheen: Excellent. Handle: Pretty floppy for this batch of rugs. The Peshawar rugs are pretty sturdy lot, and this rug is more flexible than most. Selvedge: One cord burgundy overcast that matches the field color.
Fringe: Two inch white cotton Pile: 4mmWarp: White cottonWeft: White cotton
Warp Depression:Pretty close to full warp depression

Date: 2015- Documented. Received directly from the weaver in December 2015. Larger rugs in this group are dated "1393" which is 2015 in the Gregorian calendar
